My textile art is primarily spinning and knitting. I am experimenting also with dyeing, basket making, and weaving.
I enjoy the interplay of color and texture and use quite a variety of yarns in my work. My work is functional: scarves, hats, fingerless gloves, capelets, bracelets, belts, purses, and skinny scarves I call "jazzies".
I also spin on an Ashford wheel, using wool, silk, cotton, linen, soysilk, tencel, and hemp. Plying these yarns together, sometimes with commercial yarn, is a lot of fun!
