Ribb-It Scarves
(
KnottyladyDesigns...
)
Using a gorgeous self striping yarn this lovely ribbed pattern shows off the color scheme so beautifully. For a man's ribbed scarf I just bind off the ends and a lady's scarf has a ruffled edge with fun fur crocheted to match one of the many lovely colors running throughtout this gorgeous yarn. This stunning yarn is a joy to knit & the pattern is fun. Enjoy! Thanks for stopping by.
'Out of Africa' Shawl
(
KnottyladyDesigns...
)
Knitted shawl in various yarns & multiple stitch variations simulate the animals, people & cultures of Africa. Multiple yarns create the fringed side of this lovely shawl & each end is done in a multiple of stitches in black & ribbon novelty yarn and embellished with wooden buttons simulating African cultures. Warm tones of blacks, browns, taupe & cream enhance the beauty of this 'Out of Africa' shawl. Enjoy.
Bow Tie Scarves (vintage knitted pattern)
(
KnottyladyDesigns...
)
A lovely vintage knitted pattern discovered among my Grandmother's patterns; I utilized newer fashion yarns to create these bow tie scarves which have a knitted slot and one 'petal' slips through the slot to keep the scarf in place and to keep your neck warm & cozy. Two different sizes and different yarns were used to show variations with the pattern. The larger bow tie scarf is done in a very soft, multi-colored chenille yarn and the smaller two are knitted with gorgeous Glitallic synthetic yarns in soft lavender & one in light burgundy/wine & flecks of gold & silver add a touch of bling.
Grapes of Wrap Scarf
(
KnottyladyDesigns...
)
Lovely Foliage yarn became this lovely ruffles & ridges magic pattern scarf. The colors remind me of a vineyard with the grapes, foliage on the vines & the beautiful earthiness of a vineyard. This yarn is variagated and knits into these gorgeous colors. It is soft and luxurious to wear wrapped around one's neck with the lovely ruffles & ridges adding to its beauty. Enjoy my magic scarf pattern with its ruffles & ridges in Grapes of Wrap. Thanks for stopping by.
Artist's Palette Shawl
(
KnottyladyDesigns...
)
Stunning mohair yarn in a blend of impressionist colors & a lovely novelty yarn in the same color palette knitted together to create this stunning shawl. Light & airy (but cozy) this lovely shawl's ruffled sides & fringed ends gives it a romantic flair. My attempt with yarns at impressionism & its 'en plein air' attempts to emphasize vivid overall effects to achieve the overall effect of intense color vibration. This attempt at impressionism expresses a bright & varied use of color. Each airy fringe is accented at the top points with a wisp of ribbon. Enjoy! Thanks for stopping by.
Mardi Gras Ruffled Scarf
(
KnottyladyDesigns...
)
I chose a lovely and very colorful yarn to create these exquisitely fun ruffles and ridges. I began with 200 stitches & continued to increase until I had 1400 stitches that I was knitting and then casting off. It is quite the process but well worth it. This is a fun scarf & goes around my black coat many times for both warmth and lots of color. It truly looks like Mardi Gras time with a carnival flair. Very soft and fun to wear. Enjoy my Mardi Gras Scarf. Thanks for stopping by.
Strawberry Shortcake Scarf
(
KnottyladyDesigns...
)
Another fun Ruffles & Ridges Scarf knitted with gorgeous Tosca variagated (self-striping) yarn. This pattern is so variable adding ruffles or adding garter stitch around the edges. One can cast on any even number of stitches and create a variety of looks but I like the crocheted ruffled edge to this pattern and it is a fun pattern. You can make this scarf as long as you like & knitting it in a heavier weight yarn is really fun. Your needle size can be varied-just have fun with it! Enjoy!

Pink Peony Scarf
(
KnottyladyDesigns...
)
Gorgeous yarn in a blend of many colorful pinks,browns, corals & rust hues knitted into this lovely scarf which I knitted in a basketweave pattern & voila- a magic scarf ( with ruffles & ridges) The crocheted ruffle is added after the knitting process and this scarf is stunning to throw around ones neck-very soft & a fun pattern that does knit up like magic. These gorgeous colors are truly like a pink peony. Enjoy the magic of this lovely ruffles & ridges pattern.
Ruffled Iris Scarf
(
KnottyladyDesigns...
)
A lovely basketweave/check... pattern which knits up like magic (ruffles & ridges) created this yummy, luscious scarf which should be called 'Lemon Meringue'. It knitted so beautifully with this gorgeous varigated (self-striping) yarn which is so soft & luxurious to wear. With the lovely colors this scarf will work beautifully into spring. The basic basketweave scarf pattern is knitted and the ruffled edge is crocheted when the knitting is completed. These lovely spring colors remind me of my ruffled iris flowers which are so gorgeous. Enjoy my basketweave scarf pattern done in these lovely colors. Thanks for stopping by.
Botticelli's Venus Scarf
(
KnottyladyDesigns...
)
This art scarf is knitted in two pieces and then grafted together in the middle where I then knitted two rufffles which look like a lovely flower. The knitted shells on either end of this scarf represent the shell Venus is standing on in Botticelli's painting circa 1480. I knitted this scarf with a lovely, pink silk yarn that is so soft to the touch & wonderful around one's neck on a summer day or evening. Enjoy!
Brush Strokes Scarf/Shawl
(
KnottyladyDesigns...
)
A lovely white mohair yarn & a truly fun, funky & extremely colorful novelty yarn were used to knit this lovely scarf/shawl. Ruffles surround the edges & give the shawl a hint of romance. This shawl is very soft, lightweight & warm. The colors are gorgeous and intense and look like the tip of an artist's paint brush dripping with every color one can imagine. It was fun to design & use this wonderful novelty yarn which adds so much to this scarf/shawl. Enjoy Brush Strokes!
Fur Get Me Knots Scarves
(
KnottyladyDesigns...
)
Fabulous colors imitating fur which often times is dyed in many hues these scarves are knit with three strands of novelty yarns held together. They are very light weight, soft and fun to wear with a sweater, jacket or coat.
No animals were hurt creating these fun' Fur Get Me Knots' scarves. Enjoy! Fun to make and fun to wear to jazz up any outfit for any occasion.
Fickle Fingers Scarf
(
KnottyladyDesigns...
)
This fun scarf is knit in a lovely denim look yarn & as I knit this particular scarf I cast on stitches at each side and then knit them and cast them off again. This way I end up with fingers on the sides of the scarf. This is a very fun scarf to wear & lots of fun to knit. This scarf rolls up easily for storage! Fun! Enjoy Fickle Fingers Scarf!
Herringbone Hyacinth Scarf
(
KnottyladyDesigns...
)
This lovely, soft, varigated yarn knitted in a herringbone pattern can be worn all year long because of the lightweight yarn called Foliage whose colors rival any spring garden. It is an exquisite pattern & a ruffled edge can be added for further beauty. Hyacinth is a lovely flower from the Netherlands & the bulbs are available in many colors. Enjoy Herringbone Hyacinth in its many spring floral colors.
