Piet Mondrian Fingerless Gloves

Piet Mondrian Fingerless Gloves

(KnottyladyDesigns...)
I knitted three more sets of fingerless mitts/gauntlets and the cables turned out beautifully. The one with the primary colors is named Piet Mondrian because he was an artist who painted with primary colors. The one done in beige & other beautiful colors is really a beautiful yarn which creates these beautiful colors as I knit. The last pair I knitted from NORO Silk Garden which is stunning yarn. Please enjoy these three new sets of fabulous fingerless mitts/gauntlets.
Moulin Rouge (CAN CAN DANCE) (OO-LA-LA)

Moulin Rouge (CAN CAN DANCE) (OO-LA-LA)

(KnottyladyDesigns...)
his fun bag was knitted & felted with gorgeous deep navy Cascade wool together with a tiny threadlike pTurple novelty yarn. The top edge is a lovely purple ruffle with a myriad of colors throughout depicting the high kicking Parisian Can Can dancers and along the right side of the bag one sees three colorful ruffles (red, wine, navy) depicting the dancers' skirts kicked high over their heads. The ruffles are knitted with gorgeous novelty yarn that does not felt but leaves the ruffles to swing in the breeze. They are felted along with the wool in the bag. A lovely knitted/felted I Cord runs through the top edge of the bag and an I CORD twist comes over the top edge to catch a gorgeous fashion button which adds sparkle to the theme. Paris and the Moulin Rouge were depicted by the famous French painter Henri de Toulouse Lautrec who observed and captured in his art the Parisian nightlife of the period (late 19th century). I CORD handle-double or single strap pulls through. FUN! OO-L
Machu Picchu

Machu Picchu

(KnottyladyDesigns...)
This bag is representative of the Incan City of Machu Picchu. In preparing an artistic piece I must prepare my soul and sharpen my senses. To visit Machu Picchu one must do the same and forget the small transcendental problems of our lives and modern man. Terraced stonework is celebrated in this bag with the imitation stone beads surrounding the bottom of the bag with gradient terraced artwork knitted and felted into visually stunning colors. Imitation stone beads celebrate the top closures to this bag and represent the 'intihuatana' (hitching post of the sun).
Loring Park & City Lights at Twilight

Loring Park & City Lights at Twilight

(KnottyladyDesigns...)
My love for Minneapolis as the CITY OF LAKES inspired my LORING PARK, CITY LIGHTS AT TWILIGHT felted tote. AT the bottom of the tote I attempted to create the earth by knitting green wool along with a novetly ribbon to give it the look of earth/'dirt' and then proceeded to knit into the grasses and greenery around the park and the lake with its many flowers. The CITY LIGHTS at TWILIGHT look inviting in the evening twilight at the right side of the tote and the evening sky with its twinkling stars completes the theme. The interior is finished with felted pockets complimenting the theme and the base is twice reinforced with webbing and a lovely fabric covered needlepoint foamcore for durability and beauty. I CORD handles run through the top edge and twist to come over the top edge to catch two blue star fashion buttons centered with two silver star buttons. This piece is a "WORK OF HEART".
How Tweed It Is

How Tweed It Is

(KnottyladyDesigns...)
A fun knitted/felted bag with three adorable fashion buttons which highlight the flap & front of this bag. An interior pocket completes this theme with the tweed like texture. How Tweed It Is compliments any outfit for almost any occasion. Two knitted/felted I Cord handles make over the shoulder fun with this bag.
Party Doll

Party Doll

(KnottyladyDesigns...)
A fun & pretty kniited/felted bag with a lovely pink fashion button and crocheted edging around the flap, handles and top edge. I crocheted around the buttonhole to give the button a look of a flower in a garden. A large interior pocket continues the theme with floral edging . I held a fun fur novelty yarn together with the main color yarn and after the felting & drying process; I shaved the bag to give it a fuzzy look without all of the fun fur. This bag is very roomy and lots of fun to carry around. Thanks for stopping by.
Pretty in Pinks Ponchos

Pretty in Pinks Ponchos

(KnottyladyDesigns...)
Crocheted ponchos for two little girls made with TLC by great grandma. These ponchos have adorable trim with tiny pink & blue stars around the crocheted pink neck edges & pink fun fur crocheted around the bottom edges. Crocheted in two different baby yarns-one more pinks & blues & the other more pinks, blues & yellow. Fun to make, fun to give & fun to wear! Enjoy!
Muffatees

Muffatees

(KnottyladyDesigns...)
Muffatees is the 19th century term for a wrist warmer & what could be more fun than these knitted, ruffled Muffatees! Add a colorful ruffled edge to any cuff & keep your wrists & hands warm. Fun to wear and they look great! Part embellishment, wrist warmer & cuff bracelet-it's a warmlet. Cozy, warm & 'off the cuff'! These are totally fun to make and wear. Add a Muffatee to any outfit! Enjoy my 'frosted cuff-cakes'!
Fringe Benefits Chic Shawl

Fringe Benefits Chic Shawl

(KnottyladyDesigns...)
Lovely deep purples,turquoise... and gorgeous copper yarns combined in a knitted rectangle with eight inch drops at one side creating the 'fringe benefits'. Closing the rectangle at one side provides for a shawl that does not slip off when worn and leaves the arms and hands free. The knitting is open and loose so this shawl/sharf/poncho drapes when worn on or off the shoulder. Gorgeous with black for a very dramatic, dressy look. A SHARF is a knitting term describing a wearable piece which combines a shawl/scarf look.
Celtic Circle (fashion bag)

Celtic Circle (fashion bag)

(KnottyladyDesigns...)
A gorgeous black designer silk Dupiono fabric was used in machine sewing this evening/afternoon bag. I machine stitched a lovey, rich burgundy fabric applique & then machine stitched it to the front flap of the bag. I handbeaded/stitched the Celtic Circles with seed beads in rich tones of burgundy, bronze & silver with one longer bead inside the top and bottom of the larger circle. A Celtic Knot button is handstitched to the fabric and the flap comes almost completely over the top of the bag and catches with a piece of the cord used for the over-the-shoulder strap in black which can be knotted to be worn at any length. The strap measures
32 inches (81 cm) & the bag measures 6" wide by 7 " hi. The designer silk has an iridescent sheen. Celtic Art has many geometric patterns as ornamentation & in modern times Celtic Art is popularly thought of in terms of national identity and therefore, specifically Irish, Scottish & Welsh. Enjoy.

Rug Yarn Shoulder Bag (Ribbon & Blues)

Rug Yarn Shoulder Bag (Ribbon & Blues)

(KnottyladyDesigns...)
Crocheted from sturdy rug yarn in a gorgeous blue with lovely cotton fabric lining. Wooden beads & a beaded, decorative closure embellish the flap. Rug yarn makes a sturdy bag and lining helps to strengthen & beautify the interior which has one large pocket sewn from the same interior fabric. Novelty ribbon in blues is crocheted around the shoulder strap , flap & interior top edges.
Autumn Daze

Autumn Daze

(KnottyladyDesigns...)
AUTUMN DAZE brings to mind the cooler nights and warmer days in an autumnal season. The fabulous wools and novelty yarns add warmth to this bag and bring to mind the beauty of an Indian Summer. Designed, knitted, felted with a reminder of summer days gone and autumn days one by one reaching out to take us to a new place on the color palette of artistic endeavor. Lovely fashion buttons add to the autumnal beauty. This bag is featured at MINNESOTA ARTISTS TEXTILES ON THE TOWN (MIXED MEDIA).
Monet's Garden

Monet's Garden

(KnottyladyDesigns...)
I studied ART HISTORY at the University of Minnesota and Claude Monet has always been one of my favorite IMPRESSIONIST masters. Knitting this tote; I attempted to capture the splendor of MONET'S beautiful gardens and it is reminiscent of many of his paintings of flowering gardens, parks and groves. Lovely wool yarns combine with novelty yarns knitted/felted create this impressionistic landscape tote.
Cha Cha Cha

Cha Cha Cha

(KnottyladyDesigns...)
Such a fun & flirty bag knitted in the most gorgeous handspun/kettledyed wools. Felting these gorgeous wools creates the beautiful blend of colors throughout this bag. Three large ruffles compliment the colors of the wool and are knitted and felted along with the bag and two lovely wool shoulder straps add to the fun. One interior pocket continues with the kettledyed wool and the base is reinforced and a lovely fabric covers the needlepoint foamcore base for added strength, durability and beauty. A Showstopper!
