Itacare' Pottery
This Itacare' fiber pottery piece is an explosion of color and texture offering an introduction to the colorful town of Itacare', Brazil. This lovely place is an explosion of colors, sounds, smells, flavors & textures which elate our senses. There are only a few places in the world where nature has been so generous offering such a diverse group of attractions concentrated in a single place. Itacare's welcome appears to be one of an atmosphere o...

Moulin Rouge (CAN CAN DANCE) (OO-LA-LA)
his fun bag was knitted & felted with gorgeous deep navy Cascade wool together with a tiny threadlike pTurple novelty yarn. The top edge is a lovely purple ruffle with a myriad of colors throughout depicting the high kicking Parisian Can Can dancers and along the right side of the bag one sees three colorful ruffles (red, wine, navy) depicting the dancers' skirts kicked high over their heads. The ruffles are knitted with gorgeous novelty yarn...

Machu Picchu
This bag is representative of the Incan City of Machu Picchu. In preparing an artistic piece I must prepare my soul and sharpen my senses. To visit Machu Picchu one must do the same and forget the small transcendental problems of our lives and modern man. Terraced stonework is celebrated in this bag with the imitation stone beads surrounding the bottom of the bag with gradient terraced artwork knitted and felted into visually stunning col...

Loring Park & City Lights at Twilight
My love for Minneapolis as the CITY OF LAKES inspired my LORING PARK, CITY LIGHTS AT TWILIGHT felted tote. AT the bottom of the tote I attempted to create the earth by knitting green wool along with a novetly ribbon to give it the look of earth/'dirt' and then proceeded to knit into the grasses and greenery around the park and the lake with its many flowers. The CITY LIGHTS at TWILIGHT look inviting in the evening twilight at the right side of...

How Tweed It Is
A fun knitted/felted bag with three adorable fashion buttons which highlight the flap & front of this bag. An interior pocket completes this theme with the tweed like texture. How Tweed It Is compliments any outfit for almost any occasion. Two knitted/felted I Cord handles make over the shoulder fun with this bag.

Party Doll
A fun & pretty kniited/felted bag with a lovely pink fashion button and crocheted edging around the flap, handles and top edge. I crocheted around the buttonhole to give the button a look of a flower in a garden. A large interior pocket continues the theme with floral edging . I held a fun fur novelty yarn together with the main color yarn and after the felting & drying process; I shaved the bag to give it a fuzzy look without all of the fu...

Pretty in Pinks Ponchos
Crocheted ponchos for two little girls made with TLC by great grandma. These ponchos have adorable trim with tiny pink & blue stars around the crocheted pink neck edges & pink fun fur crocheted around the bottom edges. Crocheted in two different baby yarns-one more pinks & blues & the other more pinks, blues & yellow. Fun to make, fun to give & fun to wear! Enjoy!

Muffatees
Muffatees is the 19th century term for a wrist warmer & what could be more fun than these knitted, ruffled Muffatees! Add a colorful ruffled edge to any cuff & keep your wrists & hands warm. Fun to wear and they look great! Part embellishment, wrist warmer & cuff bracelet-it's a warmlet. Cozy, warm & 'off the cuff'! These are totally fun to make and wear. Add a Muffatee to any outfit! Enjoy my 'frosted cuff-cakes'!

Herringbone Hyacinth Scarf
This lovely, soft, varigated yarn knitted in a herringbone pattern can be worn all year long because of the lightweight yarn called Foliage whose colors rival any spring garden. It is an exquisite pattern & a ruffled edge can be added for further beauty. Hyacinth is a lovely flower from the Netherlands & the bulbs are available in many colors. Enjoy Herringbone Hyacinth in its many spring floral colors.

Fringe Benefits Chic Shawl
Lovely deep purples,turquoise... and gorgeous copper yarns combined in a knitted rectangle with eight inch drops at one side creating the 'fringe benefits'. Closing the rectangle at one side provides for a shawl that does not slip off when worn and leaves the arms and hands free. The knitting is open and loose so this shawl/sharf/poncho drapes when worn on or off the shoulder. Gorgeous with black for a very dramatic, dressy look....

Organic Pottery (three nested sets wi...
Utilizing natural resources (wool & soy) makes knitting/felting these three organic sets of bowls with trivets & coasters especially gratifying and offers an appreciation for Nature and different cultures and traditions. The natural fibers create sensational and bold color combinations and it is exciting to explore different designs/shapes. It is like kneading dough and as I work with the felted pieces in my hands; I see the wool changing. Th...

The Grand Canyon (organic pottery set)
Wool/soy yarn in these gorgeous hues blended into the Grand Canyon once it was felted creating these beautiful pieces: two bowls, trivet & coasters. The colors are amazingly beautiful. The Grand Canyon organic pottery is deep, multilayered & interwoven into something so breathtakingly beautiful & reminds me of our Grand Canyon. The Grand Canyon is untarnished wilderness encompassing beauty, antiquity, solitude, inspiration & revitalization of...

Botticelli's Venus Scarf (Dusty Rose)
This scarf pattern is so versatile & the lovely blossom (flower) I knit after grafting the two scarf pieces at the center adds to the Botticelli Venus look because in his painting he has her hair wrapping around her neck and body. This is a lovely dusty rose yarn held with a ribbon yarn for added color. The seashell motif is fun to knit & the shells can be made any size. A lightweight, fun, anytime scarf. Enjoy!
