The Legend of Baggar Vance demonstrates the process of personal renewal & transformation and the felting process demonstrates the transformation of knitted yarn into something beautiful yet transforming it into something totally new & even more beautiful.
Indeed a showpiece; this briefcase, travel bag, satchel is knitted and felted with gorgeous Peruvian wools in deep burgundy and rust. Peruvian wool MAGNUM felts into a dense blanket texture and the burgundy is highlighted with a rust colored I CORD bindoff. Large enough for long file folders and for carrying a notebook computer with two felted exterior pockets for added space. The base is knitted/felted with the contrasting rust Peruvian wool for added highlights. Interior foam in black is handstitched to each interior side to prevent static to one's notebook (computer) with added deep brown grosgrain ribbon edging. A fabric covered foamcore interior base , suede topstitching & magnetic snaps. UNIQUE!

Trendy or traditional ; pretty and petite are perfect adjectives for these gorgeous knitted , felted & needle felted bags. Until I have a bag in the works and complete it; I have never "FELT" this kind of passion for an art form which is not unique to this era but has been handed down though generations and has become more popular for bags, slippers, mittens, scarves and anything that can be knitted with the gorgeous wools on the market along with so many beautiful novelty yarns. I hope that you enjoy looking at my felted pieces as much as I enjoy the whole process from hand spun yarn to kettle dyeing to the final felting process it is a challenging and fulfilling artform. The process of needle felting adds decorative wool 'pictures' to my finished felted pieces & at times gives the piece a three dimentional look. It is a very rewarding process. I have used many mediums and this is one of my favorites because it is like 'PAINTING WITH YARN". My theme bags/totes are exciting to create but I have other artistic creations that I will enjoy sharing with you. Thank You for stopping by. Patricia Maxwell
