Every once in a while we all BROWN BAG IT and this piece defines the ultimate carry all for a day at the office or a day of shopping fun. Chocolate brown wools combined with several novelty yarns take BROWN BAGGING IT to a new level. Knitted & felted and then detailing begins with an interior knitted/felted pocket handstitched to the interior which has a lovey fabric covered foamcore base for added strength, durability & beauty. Top edge interior is finished with grosgrain ribbon in a neutral tone along with gorgeous vintage beaded ribbon to enhance the beauty of BROWN BAG IT.An I CORD handle runs through the top edge and can be used long or doubled and worn over the shoulder. A lovely shell leaf pendant decorates the top edge exterior and adds to the beauty of BROWN BAG IT. Two versions of the same bag.

Knottylady Designs Showstoppers
Trendy or traditional ; pretty and petite are perfect adjectives for these gorgeous knitted , felted & needle felted bags. Until I have a bag in the works and complete it; I have never "FELT" this kind of passion for an art form which is not unique to this era but has been handed down though generations and has become more popular for bags, slippers,mittens, scarves and anything that can be knitted with the gorgeous wools on the market along with so many beautiful novelty yarns. I hope that you enjoy looking at my felted pieces as much as I enjoy the whole process from hand spun yarn to kettle dyeing to the final felting process it is a challenging and fulfilling artform. The process of needle felting adds decorative wool 'pictures' to my finished felted pieces & at times gives the piece a three dimentional look. It is a very rewarding process. I have used many mediums and this is one of my favorites because it is like 'PAINTING WITH YARN". My theme bags/totes are exciting to create but I have other artistic creations that I will enjoy sharing with you. Thank You for stopping by. Patricia Maxwell
