In the Victorian Era and also in the Rococo era of painting women's fashions were seen as fussy and overdone. Even the glimpse of an ankle was considered scandalous. Some people now look back on the Victorian Era with wistful nostalgia. This work only began with the knitting & felting. The artist in me truly begins the theme with the knitted & felted bag as my canvas. Luscious silk ribbons adorn each corner of this piece with beads and pearls adorning the wool roving needelfelted onto my "canvas". Three pink, pearlized buttons adorn the flap where Little Flowers yarn is crocheted around the flap edge and also around the top interior edge under the flap. The interior pocket is also embellished with these tiny "flowers" in colors to compliment this work. The outer area of the front of this piece frames a lovely, embellished pocket with a loop which catches a lovely fashion button & a knitted/felted rose embellishes the bottom of the small e
