Harmony (impressionist shawl)

This lovely shawl is knitted in a palette of impressionist colors on two needles knitting back and forth without turning my work. Two yarns were used and one was carried up the edge and caught with the next set of stitches back and forth creating a lovely impressionist palette with novelty yarns swirling out at strategic areas giving this shawl an airy, whimsical & romantic look. I added fringe to each end and each side is hand knit ruffles giving this a lovely look for any time of the day or evening. My attempt at impressionism with yarns & impressionism's 'en plein air' attempts to emphasize vivid overall effects to achieve an intense color vibration expressing a bright & varied use of color.
