Knitted with lovely baby alpaca yarn, this hat is one of my favorite designs/creations. A rolled edge flows into a moss stitch to complete the basic hat. I knitted four leaves & attached them to the top of the hat for perfect parfait perfection & then embellished them with a deep pink floral button which mimics the points on the leaves. I left the points of the leaves to curl a wee bit at the tips. I knitted a long piece in brown baby alpaca in a moss stitch for added warmth on a cold winter's day. It is easily pulled over the basic hat & three floral buttons embellish the front. A crocheted tie pulls through the top edge to ruffle the edges of this brown wrap to create a lovely look for the pink leaves. This ties at the side of the hat & gives it a Victorian look. I then knitted a gorgeous neck warmer with moss stitch and knits & purls for a basketweave look. This is such a lovely set designed for a special lady. Enjoy! Thanks for stopping by.

Trendy or traditional ; pretty and petite are perfect adjectives for these gorgeous knitted , felted & needle felted bags. Until I have a bag in the works and complete it; I have never "FELT" this kind of passion for an art form which is not unique to this era but has been handed down though generations and has become more popular for bags, slippers, mittens, scarves and anything that can be knitted with the gorgeous wools on the market along with so many beautiful novelty yarns. I hope that you enjoy looking at my felted pieces as much as I enjoy the whole process from hand spun yarn to kettle dyeing to the final felting process it is a challenging and fulfilling artform. The process of needle felting adds decorative wool 'pictures' to my finished felted pieces & at times gives the piece a three dimentional look. It is a very rewarding process. I have used many mediums and this is one of my favorites because it is like 'PAINTING WITH YARN". My theme bags/totes are exciting to create but I have other artistic creations that I will enjoy sharing with you. Thank You for stopping by. Patricia Maxwell
