Covent Garden (felted bag)

(Knit Textile Art)

Covent Garden (felted bag) Rich wool yarns in shades of deep greens & several novelty yarns used in creating this showstopper bag/tote. Covent Garden is one of my favorite places in London because of its street performers, theatres & the Royal Opera House. In the heart of London's West End, the area is recognized as a premier entertainment destination where jugglers, mime artists & variety acts entertain in the piazza. 'Covent Garden' felted bag has two ICORD handles, 2 interior pockets, interior fabric covered reinforced base & gorgeous 'roving' seed beaded/needlefelted flowers embellish the front of the bag reminiscent of a flower garden. Lighter green ICORD ties at either side embellished with tiny seed beads. Gorgeous green/gold interior top edge trim. Lovely & roomy. Enjoy 'Covent Garden'! Thanks for stopping by.

Trendy or traditional ; pretty and petite are perfect adjectives for these gorgeous knitted , felted & needle felted bags. Until I have a bag in the works and complete it; I have never "FELT" this kind of passion for an art form which is not unique to this era but has been handed down though generations and has become more popular for bags, slippers, mittens, scarves and anything that can be knitted with the gorgeous wools on the market along with so many beautiful novelty yarns. I hope that you enjoy looking at my felted pieces as much as I enjoy the whole process from hand spun yarn to kettle dyeing to the final felting process it is a challenging and fulfilling artform. The process of needle felting adds decorative wool 'pictures' to my finished felted pieces & at times gives the piece a three dimentional look. It is a very rewarding process. I have used many mediums and this is one of my favorites because it is like 'PAINTING WITH YARN". My theme bags/totes are exciting to create but I have other artistic creations that I will enjoy sharing with you. Thank You for stopping by. Patricia Maxwell
