(Knit Textile Art)

Clinging Vines (wine sac & caddy) Gorgeous organic wool/soy yarn felted into this lovely beverage sac & wine caddy knitted/felted with organic yarns. The knitted/felted vines & berries were added after the felting process to embellish both the beverage sac & caddy. ICord ties are embellished at the ends with seed beads in various colors to compliment the felted yarn. Song lyrics came to mind when I designed this host/hostess set. Dean Martin sang 'Cuddle up a little closer, Lovey mine; cuddle up & be my little Clinging Vine' & because I am a fan of Dean Martin songs I 'felt' it apropos to name this 'Clinging Vines'. Enjoy & thanks for stopping by. Fabulous host/hostess gift with any beverage. Caddy is lovely on the table or buffet.

Trendy or traditional ; pretty and petite are perfect adjectives for these gorgeous knitted , felted & needle felted bags. Until I have a bag in the works and complete it; I have never "FELT" this kind of passion for an art form which is not unique to this era but has been handed down though generations and has become more popular for bags, slippers, mittens, scarves and anything that can be knitted with the gorgeous wools on the market along with so many beautiful novelty yarns. I hope that you enjoy looking at my felted pieces as much as I enjoy the whole process from hand spun yarn to kettle dyeing to the final felting process it is a challenging and fulfilling artform. The process of needle felting adds decorative wool 'pictures' to my finished felted pieces & at times gives the piece a three dimentional look. It is a very rewarding process. I have used many mediums and this is one of my favorites because it is like 'PAINTING WITH YARN". My theme bags/totes are exciting to create but I have other artistic creations that I will enjoy sharing with you. Thank You for stopping by. Patricia Maxwell
