This fabulous organic wool/soy yarn is gorgeous & felts beautifully. While knitting this bag I thought the colors reminded me of the southwest & the decorative flap is very southwest & reminds me of earth, wind & fire. The funky felted fringe looks like fire and the flap bobbles look like earth & rocks. An I Cord handle pulls through for one handle or two. I placed a golden sun pendant under the flap for even more of a southwestern theme. Enjoy this lovely fun & funky bag aptly named after the 70's group Earth, Wind & Fire whose music combined soul, gospel, jazz & an element of African sounds for cosmic, mystical sprituality which adds to the theme of this bag.

Trendy or traditional ; pretty and petite are perfect adjectives for these gorgeous knitted , felted & needle felted bags. Until I have a bag in the works and complete it; I have never "FELT" this kind of passion for an art form which is not unique to this era but has been handed down though generations and has become more popular for bags, slippers, mittens, scarves and anything that can be knitted with the gorgeous wools on the market along with so many beautiful novelty yarns. I hope that you enjoy looking at my felted pieces as much as I enjoy the whole process from hand spun yarn to kettle dyeing to the final felting process it is a challenging and fulfilling artform. The process of needle felting adds decorative wool 'pictures' to my finished felted pieces & at times gives the piece a three dimentional look. It is a very rewarding process. I have used many mediums and this is one of my favorites because it is like 'PAINTING WITH YARN". My theme bags/totes are exciting to create but I have other artistic creations that I will enjoy sharing with you. Thank You for stopping by. Patricia Maxwell
