A truly fun bag knitted/felted with Noro Kureyon wool yarn in a gorgeous striping pattern & base knitted with a sienna orange Cascade pastazza wool yarn. A fun, multi-colored novelty yarn added to the lower bottom and to the tightly ruffled top edge with colors which emphasize the colorful Noro wool in rich warm & cool tones. ICord handle pulls through for a double shoulder strap & interior pockets, fabric covered base in hand tie-dyed fabric to match the theme. Sienna orange ICord twists & is knotted & fringed at one side. A lovely beaded trim embellishes the interior top edge. Send in the Clowns is a fun bag & I knitted/felted the base to look like two large clown shoes pointing in either direction-then the striped pattened middle depicts the clown's costume & the ruffled top edge with fun novetly yarn depicts the ruffle around the clown's neck edge. Trendy or traditional ; pretty and petite are perfect adjectives for these gorgeous knitted , felted & needle felted bags. Until I have a bag in the works and complete it; I have never "FELT" this kind of passion for an art form which is not unique to this era but has been handed down though generations and has become more popular for bags, slippers,mittens, scarves and anything that can be knitted with the gorgeous wools on the market along with so many beautiful novelty yarns. I hope that you enjoy looking at my felted pieces as much as I enjoy the whole process from hand spun yarn to kettle dyeing to the final felting process it is a challenging and fulfilling artform. The process of needle felting adds decorative wool 'pictures' to my finished felted pieces & at times gives the piece a three dimentional look. It is a very rewarding process. I have used many mediums and this is one of my favorites because it is like 'PAINTING WITH YARN".
