"Jellicle Cats are black & white, Jellicle Cats are merry & bright, Jellicle Cats have bright black eyes And wait for the Jellicle moon to rise" from T.S. Eliot's book 'Old Possom's Book of Practical Cats' & from one of my favorite Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals I saw in the London Theatre. This medium tote begins with a black wool base and then novelty yarns are carried upwards depicting Jellicle Cat whiskers, fur & then the large black & white beads which surround the lower top of the bag depict Jellicle Cat's eyes. A lovely fashion button continues the Jellicle Cat black & white theme. The top interior edge has black grosgrain ribbon with white dots carrying on the theme. One interior pocket continues the black & white Jellicle theme as does the double I Cord handle which pulls through for use as a shoulder strap. One magnetic interior closure keeps items secure & the finishing touch is a fabric covered needlepoint foamcore base in a lovely & fun black & white theme. (a Jommi bag) En

Trendy or traditional ; pretty and petite are perfect adjectives for these gorgeous knitted , felted & needle felted bags. Until I have a bag in the works and complete it; I have never "FELT" this kind of passion for an art form which is not unique to this era but has been handed down though generations and has become more popular for bags, slippers, mittens, scarves and anything that can be knitted with the gorgeous wools on the market along with so many beautiful novelty yarns. I hope that you enjoy looking at my felted pieces as much as I enjoy the whole process from hand spun yarn to kettle dyeing to the final felting process it is a challenging and fulfilling artform. The process of needle felting adds decorative wool 'pictures' to my finished felted pieces & at times gives the piece a three dimentional look. It is a very rewarding process. I have used many mediums and this is one of my favorites because it is like 'PAINTING WITH YARN". My theme bags/totes are exciting to create but I have other artistic creations that I will enjoy sharing with you. Thank You for stopping by. Patricia Maxwell
