My Christmas/holiday afghan is crocheted in one piece although it looks like separate blocks. Every other block has a Minnesota pine tree crocheted into the block. After completion I wove red ribbon through the holes between each block for a very festive look. Hand crocheted with love . This will always remind me of our lake home in northern Minnesota near Itasca State Park where the headwaters of the Mississippi River is located and where we have crossed on foot many times. Thanks for stopping by to enjoy my holiday afghan in the pines of northern Minnesota.

Trendy or traditional ; pretty and petite are perfect adjectives for these gorgeous knitted , felted & needle felted bags. Until I have a bag in the works and complete it; I have never "FELT" this kind of passion for an art form which is not unique to this era but has been handed down though generations and has become more popular for bags, slippers, mittens, scarves and anything that can be knitted with the gorgeous wools on the market along with so many beautiful novelty yarns. I hope that you enjoy looking at my felted pieces as much as I enjoy the whole process from hand spun yarn to kettle dyeing to the final felting process it is a challenging and fulfilling artform. The process of needle felting adds decorative wool 'pictures' to my finished felted pieces & at times gives the piece a three dimentional look. It is a very rewarding process. I have used many mediums and this is one of my favorites because it is like 'PAINTING WITH YARN". My theme bags/totes are exciting to create but I have other artistic creations that I will enjoy sharing with you. Thank You for stopping by. Patricia Maxwell
